Mr. Dafla has nearly ten years of experience with the forensic investigation, evaluation and remediation of existing building conditions. Since his employment, he has participated in structural repair and rehabilitation projects that have involved exterior façade repair and evaluations, balcony and garage renovation, water intrusion investigations, plaza and façade waterproofing, roofing renovation and retaining wall replacement. Mr. Dafla has significant experience in the areas of investigation, preparation of budgetary rehabilitation cost projections, development of phased rehabilitation programs, preparation of design documents and their field implementation. Prior to his employment with SRG, Mr. Dafla gained valuable experience working as a student intern for a structural steel fabricator where he performed CAD drafting and detailing. Prior to that, he worked with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Gaithersburg, Maryland as a Student Researcher.
Mr. Dafla graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2005 where he received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Degree with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
Mr. Dafla is registered as a Professional Engineer in the District of Columbia.
Mr. Dafla is active in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Chapter of International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI), the Community Association Institute (CAI) and the Property Management Association (PMA).
